Who is Behind this Blog?

Hi, I'm Lauren!

I like to explore locally, write stories, take photos and perform on stage and in films. I’ve lived in Bellingham, Washington since 2013 with my husband and our very fluffy cat.

I’ve always been pretty good at writing and after ghost writing for many blogs, authors, and print, I thought, “What if I did it for me? For this town I love?” and so here we are!

Thank you for being curious!

My Official Bio:

Lauren is digital marketer and writer by trade. She is a 2017 Western Washington University graduate with degrees in Journalism, Public Relations and Theatre (Acting and Playwriting).

She spend her days as a marketing director for a principle broker at Compass Real Estate where she also hangs her own real estate license with the goal of becoming a referral real estate agent. In her spare time, she works on this blog, does volunteer arts marketing for theatre nonprofits around town, and is an actor on stage.

What is this Blog About?

This blog is about local fun things in Bellingham, WA for local people. Or folks interested in learning about Bellingham, WA as a whole. Think: local developments, places to eat, hidden finds, events, and open houses — I mean, I do work in real estate.

The name of the blog might be I love Bellingham but I’ll be sure to share my honest thoughts. I do believe love means helping something grow and sometimes that calls for critical feedback, but for the most part this will be a place for fun, enthusiastic uplifting content.

I want it to be a resource, guide, and place to pop in to see a collection of fun and interesting things you’re excited to share with friends in town.

Why Do this At All?

Like I said above, I work in real estate and my specialty is elevating the stagecraft of real estate through marketing. Which involves a lot of writing, so this is a writing adventure for me.

This blog is a passion project. I constantly am cruising around town seeing new places pop up, new developments and I’m always wondering, “Ooo, what’s that?” This is like my playground to explore those things in writing and maybe eventually through content on Instagram.

Plus, I’ve been a ghost writer for so long, I thought it might be interesting to take ownership of the work I’ve been doing for over a decade.

Maybe people will find it interesting, maybe nobody will. But that’s okay. This blog is for me and if you’ve made it this far, it might be for you too.

Thanks for reading!
